Youth Cabinet 2016-2017

Dedicated Indians of America is a volunteers based organization. Our officers are nominated by DIA directors each year based on their interest and participation in DIA. In order to select multiple candidates for one position, DIA also depends on voting system by DIA members to nominate a candidate as required. Each year a new cabinet is formed and elected by the members. DIA youth cabinet is responsible for planning and executing entire year activities. The leadership role creates a sense of responsibility and confidence in the youth.

DIA was founded in 2010 and is based in NJ. DIA board of directors volunteer their time and hard work each year. The board is comprised of 4 board of directors that actively execute DIA plans.

The advisory board members assist with DIA’s major events and serve as a consul of guidance.

      Preeti Khurana has been part of DIA since inception. She is highly passionate about paying it forward. Preeti lives in Harrington Park along with her husband and daughter.

      Priya Navani founded DIA in 2010. She has been passionate about charitable activities since her childhood. She travels each year to India & Pakistan to meet with the children that are sponsored by DIA, check their progress reports, and listen to their needs. She truly believes that there is a

      Niti is a real estate agent in New Jersey and New York. She graduated with a degree in Philosophy from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. She lives with her husband Upkar and kids, Ansh & Anya in Tenafly NJ.

    • Reena Mathur

      Reena has been involved with DIA since its inception. Reena holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and is the founder of ReeMat Designs, which creates and curates a line of handcrafted accessories. Reena’s husband Samir and their children Rahil and Reha have all been actively involved

    • Hanita Walia

      Hanita worked on Wall Street for several years managing private client portfolios. She is now an active member of the Board of Trustees at Elisabeth Morrow School .She lives in Demarest, NJ with her husband Ruby and two sons, Ishan and Avi.

    • Shweta Patel

      Shweta is self  employed managing a fashion embroidery beading business in NYC. Shweta lives in Closter with her husband and 2 daughters.

    • Shwetambara Parakh

      Shwetambara is a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon in Bergen county. After spending several years in NYC and Massachusetts she and her daughter moved to Closter in 2015 and are proud to be part of this community.
